Anti-Drone Protest at General Atomics Poway Production Site
San Diego Veterans For Peace Demonstration Starts "National Anti-Drone Days of Action"

April 4, 2013 Poway, CA - Anti-drone protesters gathered at the General
Atomics Predator drone production site. After a peaceful march around
the facilities, people held signs and banners at the corners of Scripps
Poway Parkway and Stowe Drive.

physics and defense contractor headquartered in San Diego, California.
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of
General Atomics, provides unmanned aerial vehicles and radar solutions
for military and commercial applications worldwide. The Predator UAV is
made by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and used primarily by the United States Air Force (USAF) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Initially conceived in the early 1990s for reconnaissance
and forward observation roles, the Predator carries cameras and other
sensors but has been modified and upgraded to carry and fire two AGM-114 Hellfire missiles or other munitions. The aircraft, in use since 1995, has seen combat over Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bosnia, Serbia, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Somalia. Speaker Dave
